Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tripiefly (“Tripiefly,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and discloses information when you visit tripiefly.com (the “Site”). It also explains your choices and rights, including how to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

Who we are

Tripiefly is an independent travel publication operated by Beside Media, Alameda Rio Negro 503, Sala 2020, CEP 06454-000, Alphaville, Barueri – SP, Brazil. Beside Media is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at [email protected].

Tripiefly publishes free travel guides and tips. We do not sell airline tickets or other travel products, and you do not need an account to use the Site.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we, our service providers and our advertising partners automatically collect certain information from your browser or device:

  • Identifiers: IP address, cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers.
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, device type, screen size and language settings.
  • Usage information: the pages you view, how long you stay, how far you scroll, the links you click, the website or ad that brought you to the Site (including campaign parameters in the link) and how you interact with the ads shown on the Site.
  • Approximate location: your general location, such as country, state or city, inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation.
  • Inferences: our advertising partners may infer your interests from your browsing activity to decide which ads to show you.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message. We use this information only to answer you and to keep a record of your request.

We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation or health information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar technologies to run the Site, measure our audience, show ads and measure how those ads perform. They include:

  • Our own measurement tool: a script that records pages viewed, scrolling and ad events together with a randomly generated browser identifier and session identifier. We use it to understand how the Site is used and how ads perform.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: used to measure traffic and how visitors use the Site.
  • Google Ad Manager and Google’s advertising partners: used to show ads on the Site, including personalized ads where permitted, to limit how often you see the same ad and to detect fraud.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking: used to measure the results of the ads we buy to promote the Site. If we advertise on other platforms, such as Meta, TikTok or Pinterest, we may use their measurement tags for the same purpose.
  • Cloudflare: used to deliver the Site securely and quickly, to protect it against attacks and to measure basic site performance.

Google uses cookies and other identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center, and you can opt out of personalized advertising from many participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block cookies, the Site will still work, but the ads you see may be less relevant to you.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and secure the Site and to fix problems.
  • To understand which content is useful and to improve our guides.
  • To show the ads that fund the Site and to measure how they perform.
  • To measure the results of our own advertising campaigns.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, invalid traffic and abuse.
  • To answer your messages and handle your requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

How we disclose information

  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as hosting, content delivery, security, analytics and email providers. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
  • Advertising partners, including Google and the advertisers and advertising technology companies that take part in Google’s ad auctions. They collect identifiers, usage information and approximate location through cookies and similar technologies on the Site and may combine it with information from other websites to show you ads.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our visitors, the public or Beside Media.
  • Business transfers: if the Site or Beside Media is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, like most ad-supported websites, we allow advertising partners to collect information through cookies and similar technologies on the Site to show you personalized ads. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, including California’s, this may be considered a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, also known as targeted advertising.

In the past 12 months, we have made the following categories of personal information available to advertising partners in this way: identifiers, device and browser information, usage information, approximate location and inferences. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

You can opt out at any time. All the ways to do it are listed on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that tells websites you want to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. For visitors in U.S. states whose laws require it, Google, our main advertising partner, receives the GPC signal directly and switches those ad requests to restricted data processing, which turns off ads based on your interests. You can learn how to turn on GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Some browsers also send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to them, the Site does not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know about and access the personal information we have collected about you;
  • delete your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising; and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected]. Because we do not have user accounts, most of the information collected on the Site is linked only to a browser or device identifier, not to your name. We may ask for information needed to verify your request and to find the data linked to you. We will respond within the time required by law, generally within 45 days. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing do not require verification.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

Tripiefly is written for travelers in the United States. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows personalized ads only with the consent required by law and otherwise shows non-personalized or limited ads. When a consent message is shown to you, you can change your choice at any time through the privacy link it provides. Where the GDPR applies, personalized advertising is based on your consent, and the operation and security of the Site are based on our legitimate interests. You may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. To decide how long, we consider why the information was collected, whether we still need it to run, measure or secure the Site, and our legal obligations. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a record of it. Information collected by our advertising and analytics partners is kept under their own retention policies; for example, see how Google retains data.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International data transfers

Beside Media is based in Brazil, and our service providers and partners operate in the United States and other countries. Your information may be processed outside the state or country where you live, under the safeguards required by applicable law.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to airlines, booking sites, apps and other websites that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
